The Aluminum Plant (Pilea cadierei) gets its name from the unique metallic silver patches that cover its textured green leaves. It is a bushy, upright plant that grows quickly, filling out pots with lush, vibrant foliage. It has a slightly “watermelon” look to the leaves that is instantly recognizable.
Unlike the cacti in our shop, this plant enjoys a bit more moisture and humidity. It thrives in bright, indirect light but should be kept out of harsh direct sun which can scorch its leaves. If you want a plant that offers high-impact color and texture without being a standard green houseplant, the Aluminum Plant is the perfect choice.
